I want to take my boyfriend on a surprise fishing/picnic date and was wondering where the best place to go shore fishing in Toronto is. Also what type of fish are there and the best bait to bring. We will probably be going in September because someone told me it was too hot to go shore fishing in August. Is that true?

September is primetime for steelhead. I would suggest making a run to the big lake and hit one of the rivers there for some steelhead!
